If you don't have a lot of money to start out with your emergency preparation, then this list of free items might be very useful to you. Several companies have started giving away free survival gear...well you actually have to pay a shipping cost, usually only a few dollars, but you are pretty much getting these items at cost.
They give away these items for free because they will try to upsell you on some of their other products. But of course, there is no obligation and so this is a great way to can get plenty of free or low cost survival items to help you prepare yourself for multiple emergencies.
Most of these items are delivered from only a few companies: Ape Survival, Survival Frog, Survival Kit, and Survival Life. The majoity of these items have been offered for free for at least a few years, but really I have no idea how long any of these promotions will last.
The list of over 30 free survival items are below. Some of the items are 'doubles' and are the same product with little variation as they are offered by different companies. But the shipping cost may vary so choose the one that seems best to you.
