Field guides are an essential part of learning to be self sufficient. A good set of plant field guides may one day save your life. Listed in this section are many of the most important guides that you should have in your library. It's easy to access information through the internet, but when you are out camping or if the grid is down, these little encyclopedic books will contain knowledge that you wouldn't otherwise have.

I put here a list of 'free' items that you can order in the mail. You will have to pay shipping on most of these items so there is a small cost. Nevertheless many of these items make good little presents and can be very useful to have handy in a car or in a wallet.
